The Embassy of Japan invites J-Pop and Anime fans to participate in the J-Pop Anime Singing Competition, in celebration of the 2009 Philippines-Japan Friendship Month.

The Singing Competition is open to all Filipino amateur singing groups composed of three to ten members. Application forms are available at the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) Library, Embassy of Japan , 2627 Roxas Boulevard , Pasay City or can be downloaded at www.ph.emb-japan.go.jp .

A duly accomplished application form along with a CD or cassette tape demo of the participant's rendition of two (2) Japanese songs can be hand-carried or mailed to the JICC Library. Registration starts on February 9, 2009 and ends on April 20, 2009 .

The ten (10) best groups who pass the screening process would be invited to perform in the J-Pop Anime Singing Competition Grand Final, scheduled to be held on July 25, 2009 at the Activity Center of Market! Market!. The competing groups will perform one (1) Japanese song popularized in anime or J-Pop. Embassy of Japan Certificates and Japanese Language Scholarships from the Nihongo Center Foundation await the top three winners.

The J-Pop and Anime Singing Competition is co-organized by the Embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation Manila in partnership with HERO TV, TOEI Philippines, Inc., Max FM103.5, Ayala Malls Market! Market! and Nihongo Center Foundation.

The J-Pop Anime Singing Competition aims to further promote appreciation of the Japanese language and culture among Filipinos and to strengthen the long-standing friendship between Japan and the Philippines .

Lately, I've been feeling kind of funny. If my memory serves me right, it started around the second week of July. My heart suddenly starts racing to the point wherein I feel a twinge of pain. Added to that, I'm not sure whether it's only an emotional twinge or a physical one. After a week of experiencing this, I started to worry about it. At first, I had a suspicion that it was hypertension, so I looked it up over the net. What surprised me was that, the symptoms were far from what I'm experiencing. I consulted a few friends about this and although a lot of their opinions varied (and some were utterly impossible too) , a common response surfaced - Stress.

That goes without any doubt. Stress really is, if not the strongest, one of the strongest factors affecting my physical condition. Maybe it's because I'm such a worry-wart. I worry about a lot of things - my family, my friends, my studies, the environment, etc. So I went and searched about excessive worrying and guess what? I found out about Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). I showed a few of the early symptoms - restlessness, irritability, chronic fatigue and difficultly in concentration. If this kind of feeling continued for a few weeks more - most likely, I have it.

I've been a worry-wart ever since I was a child. Perhaps I should let go of a few, unnecessary things. I'd like to be worry-free once-in-a-while, but wouldn't it break me?

Hello guys!
I was pretty busy these past few days. Because we have final exams.
By the way Kris, I recieved your letter! Thanks you! I very much liked the card! <3
I'm not online nowadays, becuase I'm concentrating on my studies and other things.
Yesterday I tried out auditions for the play 'A Christmas Carol', it's a stage play. I met the director of
the play at a Drama Workshop held at my school's college.
I auditioned for the part Belle (Young Scrooge's Fiance) and Fan (Scrooge's sister), but I am willing to
take any part on the play.
I watched the movie: 'Pirates of the Caribean: At The World's End'...
Well, it's full of betrayal, and such conflicts, but they're pirates, so I guess it's normal.
I hope you see it soon! And wait after the credits, there will be a short clip! (Sadly I didn't see the clip,
but I read it on the internet).
I'm willing to watch Harry Potter and the OFTP! <3
And looking forward to the 7th book! Which I think will be released in July 21 in England (<3.<3)

Well I think classes have started there, study hard! and I'll do the same, too :D.

>>Hey guys~! I'm sorry that I haven't posted for a while. By the way, I already got your letter and Gem, I'm so sorry that I haven't written yet. Don't worry, I'll write to you soon. Eheehee...you see, I've been saving money for a lot of things. Well, first I guess that I have to learn to budget and I really REALLY want to go to the movies this May. That's why I've been putting away some money. I promise that I'll write back~! As soon as I get to buy stationery and as soon as I get to go out of the house. I haven't been going out lately because I really wanted to save money.

PS Please don't forget to watch "Pirates of the Caribbean: At the World's End" coz I'll be watching...heehee :P

hey guys, we are going to graduate soon...
wow, good luck to the three of us, and to our classmates...
i hope you get accepted to the school you want to go to.
i am so worried about that too.
i am going to have exams on the thirtieth. not exactly an exam, coz
there are no tests, just an interview and i am going to write an essay, good
thing i can write it in english.
i am so worried... see, i am going to this school, it hae 3 courses,
i am taking this biligual course, where they teach english as the main language, and put some french. in the course they only accept forty students...
i hope i get accepted...

i think you will have exams there, good luck on your studies, i will do my best too.

i hope to hear from you both soon, when you have the time.

btw, i want to share a picture of my dog. he is a mix breed, from a golden retriever,
and i guess his mother is a mutt.
he is 1 year and 3 months old.
